Two Cities, One House

The name itself carries the story. Bunkar means weaver — a word older than the company, older than the idea of a "brand" at all. It was the word used for the artisans who first wove cloth and leather together in the lanes near the Mehrangarh fort. We took the name because we did not want to be mistaken for something new. We are an old practice, given a quiet new home.

Today, the House operates across two cities in spirit, though one in soul. Jodhpur remains the atelier — the only place our pieces are cut, stitched, and finished.
